The area in the Isar valley was already populated 3,000 years ago. Today, the former farming village no longer has any agricultural enterprises, but a number of larger industrial and commercial enterprises, especially in Höllriegelskreuth. The Schwaneck castle, the Isar high bank and the railway bridge near Großhesselohe make the community a popular destination for Munich's citizens. With no less than two S-Bahn stations of the lines S7 and S20 (Großhessellohe in the north and Höllriegelskreuth in the south) the community is well connected to the Munich transport network.
The residential development consists mainly of detached houses and villas surrounded by gardens. In addition, there are some multi-story apartment buildings, and also some nice furnished apartments. The location in a green area is ideal for families and nature lovers. Similarly beautiful offers can be found in the surrounding areas of Solln, Grünwald and Baierbrunn.
