Wolfratshausen is located at the very picturesque " Isarspitz", the point where the river Loisach flows into the Isar. From the 12th century on rafts were used to transport building material to Munich. To this day, the town attracts many visitors with the option of recreational rafting to Munich, which is especially popular in the summer and on nice days.
