These days, the city scape is shaped significantly by the modern architecture of the high-rise building of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. However, one will find mainly detached houses, as well as some larger housing complexes with beautiful apartments for rent in this area. Despite its distance from the city center, Zamdorf is very well connected to public transport, and hence the center of Munich, by S-Bahn line S8. It also has its own access to the motorway A94, which provides a quick connection to long-distance transport.
