Around the naturalized zoo you can find the Flaucher, which offers ample opportunities for recreation, with its Isar beaches with numerous sports facilities, a kiosk, and even a beer garden. The quarter has become more attractive since the 1980's, due to redevelopment measures and a more pleasant architecture. Shops for your daily needs, as well as several cafés are located within walking distance. The natural outdoor pool Maria Einsiedel is also located only a few hundred meters to the south. Here lies the Isar barrage and Thalkirchen slowly blends into the suburban outskirts.
Accordingly, you will find some of the best opportunities for living in Munich here. The actual residential areas with apartments are located around the U-Bahn station Thalkirchen, where the U3 line provides a quick and easy connection to the city center. There are similarly beautiful offers in natural surroundings in Harlaching and Solln.
