The town got its name "Prunn" or "Prunnum" from deep wells that had to be dug, since there was no surface water in the immediate vicinity. Especially the quarter Riemerling, which was able to preserve its park-like character, offers very picturesque settings. The tranquil location and proximity to nature, as well as the primary and secondary schools also make this town very attractive for young families. The surrounding landscape, which provides many recreation areas, and the bustling club activities offer ample leisure facilties. The S-Bahn line S7 provides easy and quick access to Munich and the surrounding region.
