Olympiadorf
The "Olydorf" in Munich
The "Olydorf" was built for the Olympic summer games in 1972. After the games, the grounds were used as a residential quarter and have been listed since 1998. Today, with its 3500 units, it is one of the most popular areas in Munich: 90% of the moves in this quarter take place within the Olympic Village itself. Alongside the Olympic sports grounds and the Olympic tower, you will find many small bungalows for students, as well as many high-rise residential buildings with student housing and owner-occupied condominiums. All everyday necessities can be found nearby: shopping facilities, schools and kindergartens, cultural institutions, as well as ample playgrounds for children. The Olympic Village itself has several beautiful green spaces, and Olympiapark can also be reached on foot in a matter of minutes. The U-bahn station U3 Olympiadorf connects the Olympic Village to public transport, providing access to both the city center and the outskirts. The Olympic village is the ideal neighborhood due to its "city within a city" character. Those who like to live in a green and family-friendly environment will find it just right. This quarter even has its own website (in german), serving as a bulletin board. Here you can communicate with neighbors, find out about flea markets in your area, or even buy and sell items. If you haven't found a suitable apartment here, it's worth taking a look at the neighboring districts Milbertshofen, Schwabing and the Olympiazentrum.
Unfurnished rental apartments can be found on Immoscout24 (unfortunately only in German language). The Immoscout24 app, is also available in English.
