Living in Untergiesing

Apartments for rent and for sale

Untergiesing has its roots as a traditional working class neighborhood in the 19th and 20th century. This district is characterized by the well-known Gründwalder Stadium of the soccer club TSV 1860 München. But other leisure activites also make Untergiesing worth living: the popular Schyrenbad atrracts visitors from all over Munich and the Auer Mühlbach as well as the Rosengarten invite you to relax.

The citizen's iniviative "Mehr Platz zum Leben" has been campaigning for the improvement of the district since 1997 with various events and district festivals. For instance the Hans-Mielich-Platz was comprehensively renovated in 2011 and a beautiful weekly farmer's market now takes place at Mangfallplatz. Further south, this quarter becomes much greener and merges into to the upscale and noble neighbourhood of Harlaching. The U-Bahn stations "Wettersteinplatz" and "St. Quirin Platz" of the underground line U1 provide a perfect connection to public transport.

The housing development in Untergiesing is mixed, mainly large apartment buildings with nice apartments and some single-family houses. The location with good transport connections is perfect. There are similarly nice offers in the districts Harlaching, Fasangarten and Giesing.

Unfurnished rental apartments can be found on Immoscout24 (unfortunately only in German language). The Immoscout24 app, is also available in English.
