Vaterstetten is located approx. 19 km east of Munich (center). The village goes back to a settlement from the 7th century, but has lost its former village character in the meantime.

Today's municipality of Vaterstetten was only created with the municipal reform in 1978, when Vaterstetten, together with the current districts of Hergolding, Neufahrn, Parsdorf, Purfing and Weißenfeld, formed the municipality of Parsdorf. Despite its quiet location, Vaterstetten has been perfectly connected to public transport since the 19th century. The S4 stop allows you to reach the city center as well as the suburbs further out of town easily and within a short time.
The residential buildings are now mostly apartment buildings and terraced houses from the 1960's and 1970's with some beautiful apartments for rent. Along the railway line, there are still a few older detached houses. Vaterstetten profits from a quiet and green location, which is ideal for families. More lovely properties for temporary rental are located in the surrounding municipalities of Feldkirchen, Kirchheim and Zorneding.
