Since 1998, the area has been completely revitalised. Luxurious new buildings, office complexes, and parks have been built. Both Schwanthalerhöhe and the adjacent Westend are one of Munich´s cheaper residential areas. However, Schwanhalerhöhe is a very central neighborhood which is well connected to the public transport via U-Bahn lines U4 and U5 at "Schwanthalerhöhe". The nearby Bavaria Park has lots of leisure activites and is the closest recreational area for many of Schwanthalerhöhe's residents.
The convenient location and urban flair make the Schwanthalerhöhe an increasingly popular residential area. The proximity to the Theresienwiese and the city center of Munich further enhance this traditional workers' quarter. Similar offers of apartments are also available in the districts of Laim, Westend and Theresienhöhe.
