A day care is also located on the estate grounds, which makes it very attractive for young families. The English Garden is also not far from Alte Heide and can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. In general, Alte Heide offers a rather quiet living environment, despite the proximity to the city center and the good connection to the outskirts of Munich, both of which can be reached in a matter of minutes via U-Bahn line U6 at the station Alte Heide.
The buildings are mostly built in the Historicist and Art Nouveau styles. A special feature of the settlement is the orientation of the houses: by orienting them at right angles to the access roads, a uniform orientation towards the sun is achieved, thus avoiding the disadvantages of block development. The Alte Heide thus becomes a very attractive residential area. Between the houses there are also many green and parking areas. Similarly beautiful apartments are also available in the districts Freimann, Kieferngarten and Schwabing.
