The baroque parish church of St. Michael marks the old village center, which has largely retained its original character. There is also no lack of green spaces: in the south of Perlach there is the Hachinger Tal Landscape Park, and in the southwest the Perlacher Forst, a large piece of forest that offers numerous exciting hiking and walking routes. The Ostpark, established in 1969, is also a beautiful recreation area. To the north is the Michaelibad, Munich's largest public pool. Shopping-lovers particularly enjoy the proximity to the Perlach shopping center PEP. The station Neuperlach Zentrum of the U5 connects the district to the public transport network, while the station of the S7 and U5 Neuperlach Süd also provides a fast and uncomplicated connection to suburbs further away.

Nowadays the district is combined with the adjacent Ramersdorf as the 16th district and offers a wide range of furnished apartments. Similar offers are also available in the bordering districts of Ramersdorf, Neuperlach and Giesing.

Unfurnished rental apartments can be found on Immoscout24 (unfortunately only in German language). The Immoscout24 app, is also available in English.
