Since 1998, the area has been completely revitalised. Luxurious new buildings, office complexes, and parks have been built. The "Park Plaza" is only one example of the modern architecture that has been breathing new life into the old cityscape of Theresienhöhe. As its name suggests, this area is located just above the Theresienwiese, the site of the annual Oktoberfest. However, the Tollwood winter festival, numerous large flea markets, and smaller events like sports events also take place there. The nearby Bavaria park also provides diverse leisure and sports facilities to residents. The U-Bahn station Schwanthalerhöhe (U4/U5), located in the center of the quarter, provides a connection to the public transport network.
Similar offers in central locations are also available in the surrounding districts of Westend, Schwanthalerhöhe and Neuhausen.
