On the farmer´s weekly market "Viktualienmarkt", one can find a wide variety of local and international specialties. Here, many popular bavarian restaurants and pubs are located, such as the "Hofbräuhaus" which is very popular amongst tourists. The district´s image is rounded off by monumental buildings at Max-Josephs-Platz (the Bavarian State Opera and residence in particular) as well as the picturesque Hofgarten der Residenz (Court Garden) which connects the city center with the most southern part of the English Garden. The connection to the public transport is absolutely perfect. You can reach other districts and outskirts via U-Bahn line U3/U6 at Marienplatz, U4/U5 at Stachus and Odeonsplatz and U1, U2, U3, U6 at Sendlinger Tor.
Due to its very central and popular location, there are not many living spaces. However, those apartments that are offered are the city´s most sought-after and most exclusive, among them are some beautiful apartments. Didn't you find what you were looking for here? The districts Lehel, Altstadt and Ludwigsvorstadt offer a similarly good location.
