Karlsfeld is named after a son of the then King Max Joseph, the brother of the later Ludwig I. The population of the former village rose sharply especially in the post-war years, to almost 19,000 today. Prinzenpark, Waldschwaigsee, Karlsfelder See and Würm are some of the most beautiful recreational areas in the region. Munich can be reached via the A8 motorway, as well as many other destinations in the surrounding area. The S2 stop München-Karslfeld connects the town to Munich's S-Bahn network.
Karlsfeld quickly became a suburb with its own infrastructure. In addition to the housing estate, which consists of multi-story apartment buildings as well as detached and multi-family houses, there is also an industrial estate in which large companies such as MAN have settled. In general, the town offers many beautiful apartments for rent in a peaceful and quiet environment with a fast and uncomplicated connection to Munich.There are also nice offers in Dachau, Feldmoching and Untermenzing.
