Europe's largest film studio in Geiselgasteig is also an attraction for many tourists. Despite the quiet location and the distance to Munich, Grünwald is very-well connected to the S-Bahn station "Höllriegeskreuth" on the western banks of the river Isar, which can be reached within a few minutes on foot. From there it is a quick and easy ride to city center.
After the tram line to the farming village of Grünwald was opened in 1910, the number of inhabitants rose continuously and the town became one of the most exclusive garden suburbs of Munich and even one of the most elegant residential areas in Germany. This is where the most exclusive objects for apartment rental and houses can be found. It is not uncommon to have celebrities as neighbors in this area. Grünwald owes its status to its quiet location and picturesque surroundings. This is why properties here are very popular. Other beautiful offers can be found in the bordering Pullach and Harlaching.
