With a population of just over 19,000, Bad Tölz is the economic and cultural center of the historic county of Bad Tölz. The district town belongs to the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. Bad Tölz is located about 53 km south of Munich and you can drive up to the highway A8 within about 23 km. Munich can easily be reached by public transit with the Bavarian regional train. Lake Tegernsee is only about 15 km away.
