Location description:
Osternwarngau, a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Warngau, is located in the western part of the district of Miesbach, nestled in the picturesque Oberland region. To the east of it rises the Taubenberg, with an observation tower at an altitude of 900 meters.
Getting to Osternwarngau is easy and convenient. From Munich, you can reach the village by car in less than 25 minutes via the A8 highway, exit Holzkirchen, or by train in 45 minutes to Warngau train station. The train station in Warngau also offers connections to Holzkirchen, Munich, Lenggries, Bad Tölz, Schliersee and nearby Tegernsee (12 km).
Sports enthusiasts will find numerous opportunities to be active in Osternwarngau all year round. In winter, there are around 80 kilometers of ski slopes and 280 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, while in summer there are countless hiking trails and routes to explore.
For culinary delights, you can enjoy typical Bavarian specialties in the neighboring Oberwarngau.
